The Wedding music is a very important part of your Wedding reception. The music will set the tone and create the atmosphere you want. The right DJ will be able to work with the Bride and Groom and be able to create a selection of music that will keep the night flowing from one moment to the next. Good DJ’s are booked well in advance so it is important that once you find a DJ you are keen on to act quickly. To help you we have put together a list of questions that we recommended Brides and Grooms ask the DJ before booking. We have also included our answers under the questions for your reference.
We feel all of the questions below are very important to the success of the night.
The Basics + Background Information
- Is my wedding date available?
We do get booked up well in advance so once you know your date please let us know and we can check. On initial contact its good to let us know as much information as possible, such as Wedding Date, Venue and the Times you will require a DJ. Its also important to find out what time the DJ can access the venue. With a Wedding we like to be able to set up as early as possible, this way we are not seen and not heard until we need to be.
- How long have you been in business?
SX Disco have been DJ’s for over 10 years and professional for the past 5. We have provided entertainment for many different events and functions. We love Weddings as they also have a diverse range of guests that will all like different kinds of music. Having had the opportunity to DJ at many Weddings over the years we feel we have lots to offer Brides and Grooms for the most important party of their lives.
- How many weddings have you done?
We have done lots of weddings. On adverage we aim to do 15 weddings each year.
- How many weddings do you do in an average weekend?
We won’t DJ at a wedding every weekend. As well as Weddings we also offer our DJ services to many different events and functions. We feel this helps enhance any event we DJ for as we are always DJing to different crowds of different age ranges, who will all like different kinds of music. Being as up to date and in practise with music is very important for us.
- Do you perform at more than one event in a day?
No. If you have booked us to provide the entertainment for your wedding then your wedding will be the only event we work on that day.
- Will you be the DJ at our wedding?
YES. When you book with us you will get us and only us. We do not pass any of our work out. During the booking process we will arrange to meet with you to discuss all the requirements you have for your big day and evenings entertainment. You will meet myself and my partner. We will both be the DJ’s at your Wedding. We each specialise in different genres of music and feel this combined with a contribution of the music you choose is a winning formula to create the perfect mix for music for your weddings.
- Have you done events at my wedding venue?
We have provided DJ hire and Disco entertainment solutions to many different Weddings across Essex. Having had the opportunity to work in lots of the amazing venues Essex has to offer. When you discuss your booking with us we can let you know if we have worked in your chosen wedding venue. As well as the initial meet and greet we offer we also offer a catch up meeting at your venue. Here we can discuss any further requirements you may have.

Yes. We can provide you with lots of different services including:
