This depends on what package you have chosen to have for your event. For a small package we usually say to allow for an hour and half and for larger packages, it’s better to plan for around two hours. We will be sure to answer any questions you have about preparations when we are planning your event.
It’s your party, so you will hear the music to want to party to! We always work very closely with our clients to ensure that when it comes to their event, they will have all the music they want to hear. We can always take requests on the night unless stated otherwise, and with a huge collection of music from the 1950’s to top 40 chart toppers and rare specific genres, there’s sure to be something to get everyone moving!
SX Disco prides ourselves on a professional image and understand we we’re working on a very special occasion for you, so a smart well presented appearance is of paramount importance. A professional setup with a smart DJ is what you will get. The standard SX Disco attire is black shoes, smart black trousers with a black tee shirt / shirt. A suit and tie/bow tie can also be worn if required for your particular event.
All of our equipment is Portable Appliance Tested (PAT) annually to comply with Health & Safety Guidelines. This is carried out by an independent electrical engineer. As well as PAT testing our equipment, we also execute detailed inspections and testing on all of our equipment before and after each event. Many venues require proof of PAT tested equipment.
Yes, we hold £10m Public Liability Insurance cover. This is updated annually. A copy of our current certificate is available on request.
No, unlike many other local DJ and disco companies, we do not charge extra for stairs. However, we do request that you tell us if your venue is upstairs so that we can allow extra time to get the equipment setup in your venue.
As standard, we generally require 3.5m x 2m for our setup. Our setups can become as large as your require, depending on the particular needs of your event. If space is a concern, we can use a compact booth that fits in the corner of a room, ideal for home parties or small function rooms. This setup consists of a glow booth with an overhead lighting rig and is ultimately around 2m wide. We are always happy to have a site visit to any venue to advise on the best setup available for your function.
Yes and we usually encourage this. It is standard practice for our wedding parties and events. There is no extra charge, as it is all part of the booking process. If you feel you would like a face-to-face consultation then once you have booked the date of your event, we can arrange a time and place that is both suitable and convenient for us to discuss your event further.
